From Chelsea ........
The one thing that is constantly
said about Tegan was her tendency to make everyone
happy whether it was her funny antics, her hilarious
facial expression or that gorgeous smile that
no one will ever forget.
She always had the best ideas
and threw the best parties. I would know because
she helped host all of my parties from the time
she could talk till the very last year when
she wasn’t around. She would come up with
the best birthday bash that would have me smiling
for weeks. As the years passed and she wasn’t
around to throw parties for her 17th, 18th,
19th, 20th and now this year for her 21st birthday,
we are all thinking the same thing - how original
and entertaining it would have been to watch
Tegan plan this particular birthday party and
show case all of her most hilarious moments
that when retold, no matter how many times,
still brings a smile to your face and tears
to your eyes.
Now looking back on pictures,
videos and memories, there is no question that
Tegan was and still is the most funny and happy
girl I have ever met and anyone who has been
privileged to meet her or had her wake you up
early every school day and drag you out of bed
to check if her hair was straight at the back
will agree.
Tegan would want you to spend
her birthday reminiscing with old friends and
talking about all the fun times. She would want
you to remember her how she was, a beautiful,
happy, young woman who no matter where she was,
never stopped smiling.
If anyone has funny pictures,
videos or stories about my sister or knows someone
who does I urge you to send them in to my Dad
so we can share them with everyone and remember
her in fondness every year on her birthday,
the 31st of December and in particular this
year what would have been named Tegan’s
unforgettable 21st birthday bash.
Happy Birthday Tegan
Love You

From Chris ........
Today Teegs would have turned 21.
A big milestone in anyone’s life and it would
have been an extra celebratory one for Teegs considering
it’s also New Year’s Eve.
It seems like only yesterday we were
watching Teegs skydive for her 16th birthday. I still
can’t believe how she was terrified of riding
a quad bike down a small sand dune on Moreton Island
the previous day and yet she didn’t hesitate
in jumping out of a plane from 10,000 feet!
Teegs loved the thrill of skydiving
so much she was already planning to top it for her
next birthday and top it I’m sure she would
have done. I recall she was already plotting to follow
her Cousin Nathan’s lead in bungee jumping from
a cable car in Queenstown, New Zealand! Absolute crazy
stuff from a parent’s perspective but once she
had her mind set on something, there was no convincing
her otherwise!
In turning 21, Teegs would have planned
the occasion for quite some time and then celebrated
it by having a huge party with friends and then more
than likely would have had another quieter get together
with family. As usual she would have consulted Chelsea
about what she should wear and how her hair should
look then after the event she would have confided
in Chelsea about what she got up too with her friends.
Of course, part of this confiding would have involved
threatening Chelsea with the dreaded tickle torture
or the dribble in your face torture while being pinned
down if she said a word to anyone! Like any good sibling
particularly with these kinds of threats, Chelsea
would have kept Teegs secret and not told a single
soul.
For those celebrating tonight and
bringing in the New Year, please remember Teegs and
perhaps have a quiet drink or a toast in her memory.
I’m sure she will be watching with a smile on
her face from above and will appreciate it!
Happy 5th Heaven Birthday
Miss you mega muchly
