Tegan Blunt - Birthday 2013

Today Teegs would have turned 22 and I often wonder what she would now look like as a young woman and I wonder too what she would now be up to? I imagine Teegs would still pretty much look and act the same with long hair, a suntanned complexion, her usual infectious smile and her caring bubbly personality. Sport I'm sure would still feature in her life but what sport would she be involved with? I wonder too if she would have gone to Uni? If so what would she have studied? What type of job would she now have? I wonder if she would have travelled? I wonder if she would be engaged or married and if so to whom? These are just a few of the many questions which sadly will remain forever unanswered. What is certain however is that Teegs would have looked forward to her 22nd birthday spending some quality time with her family before heading out to celebrate the occasion with her closest friends.

It is hard to believe that Teegs has been gone for five and a half years. In some ways it seems like only yesterday that Teegs was in year eleven at Mackillop College, working at Rebel Sport part-time, playing soccer for Woden Valley and learning to drive. In other ways it seems like forever that Teegs has been gone. We all miss her immensely and would do anything to see and talk to her again.

Each year Teegs celebrated two birthdays, an early one in Canberra where she would have a party with her friends and then another one in Queensland where she would usually do something adventurous to celebrate like parasailing, quad biking, banana boating, jet boating and tandem skydiving. Teegs took to skydiving like a duck to water unlike her parents who were extremely nervous on her behalf! I will never forget the thrill she had and the look on her face from jumping out of a plane. Recently I listened to the song "I'll see you again" by Westlife and thought the lyrics expressed how a lot of us are feeling today. I decided to include it on this page in case anyone else would like to listen.
