There are many words that can be used to aptly
describe Tegan and the following are examples of some of those words
provided by her classmates and teachers when she first graduated
from Fadden Primary School in 2003 and then when she completed her
Year 10 academic certificate at Mackillop College in 2007 and they
are:
Kind, compassionate, generous, eager to help, gentle, caring, warm,
beautiful, gorgeous, hot, happy, always smiling, friendly, loyal,
cool, smart, funny, popular, awesome, fun, loving, honest, strong,
energetic, athletic and talented.
This sums up Tegan in a nutshell. She was a friend
to everybody and if she could put a smile on a persons face by helping
in some way, she would.
Tegan was a daughter that made her parents very
proud, a sister that was loving and caring, a grand daughter that
made her grandparents laugh and happy, a niece that made her aunties
and uncles feel special and a cousin that was great fun to be with.
Tegan was talented and a high achiever. She excelled
in a number of sports including track and
field and cycling where she was part of a talent identification
program with the ACT Academy of Sport. She enjoyed other sports
like netball, oz-tag and soccer, she was artistic and produced some
wonderful art works and she was smart achieving
high academic results in several subjects.
Tegan loved animals and over the years had a number
of pets including dogs, cats, rabbits, mice (‘Sebastian’
and ‘Winston’ which she somehow managed to hide from
her parents!), fish, sea monkeys, silk worms and even an echidna
which she kept for a couple of days until it was able to be released
back into the wild.
